Statistics show that in 2018, the shipment volume of global power batteries was 106GWh, increasing by 55.20% YOY and representing a CAGR of 69.60% from 2014 to 2018.
Power batteries concentrate in China, Japan and South Korea. Before 2014, Japan had the largest shipment volume of power batteries; in 2015, China became the country with the largest shipment volume of power batteries in the world. In 2017, China accounted for 65% of the shipment volume of global power batteries. In 2018, the proportion declined. It is expected that in the next few years, Japan, South Korea and Europe each will take up a larger proportion of the shipment volume of global power batteries.
